Constructed by Brookfield Multiplex, Crown Towers Perth is the largest hotel constructed in Western Australia. The world class resort incorporates 500 luxury rooms, suites and villas within a resort complex on the swan river. The internal fit-out sets the benchmark for luxury accommodation in Perth, with 500 rooms consisting of 453 standard rooms and 47 villa and suite rooms. The hotel also boasts luxury spa and gym facilities, high end private gaming salons and ultra-lounge spaces. The three podium levels link the existing Crown Metropol hotel complex with Crown Towers.

In total, the rooms feature over 2500sqm of ImagInk digitally printed shower screens that utilise digital etch ink to achieve a geometric diamond pattern that is replicated on various other materials throughout the rooms such as soft furnishings.

Working closely with the Crown design team and Brookfield Multiplex, our graphics team supported an extensive design and testing process to develop the bespoke printed glass patterns. The Deluxe and Premier rooms feature a custom designed geometric pattern subtly co-ordinating with the furnishings.

Digital Etch Ink: A versatile and efficient alternative to sand blasting

Ceramic inks used are lead and cadmium free glass enamels renowned for incredible durability. Using the same enamel platform, Etch imitation ink is a sustainable substitution to traditional frosting methods such as acid etch and sandblasting. Applied in the same process as the colour inks, Etch ink fuses and bonds with the glass surface during the tempering process. Once toughened, the resulting etch effect is an excellent diffuser of light and well suited for interior glass applications including shower doors, partitions, balustrades and furniture.

"Digital Etch ink provides an excellent sustainable substitute to traditional techniques such as acid etch and sandblasting. Based on the proven Dip-Tech glass frit fused into the glass during toughening, the digital etch also benefits from the incredible longevity provided by ceramic inks"
