Installation commences at 360 Collins St
14 panels. Two tonnes of glass. 100gb of digital image files. Multiple Transparencies. LED backlights. And a custom engineered steel cable hanging system. These are just some of the challenges our ImagInk team faced in producing this glass for the Dexus Property Group in Melbourne.
The panels showcase two exceptionally detailed artworks by Melbourne artist Harry Nankin, which is printed on both sides of a custom laminate makeup of 18.28mm. The 2000x2000mm hanging panels will be backlit once installed. Harry spent a considerable amount if time with us in Perth working alongside Trevor, our Graphic Designer, to ensure the transparencies and colours he had envisioned translated correctly to glass.
Once the design and production process was finished the panels were crated and trucked over to Melbourne, where Frenchy’s Glazing handled the installation of the printed glass. Once we have the chance to get in for some shots of the finished project we’ll post them up. In the meantime if you are in Melbourne, head down to Collins St and take a look. The installation is located in the main foyer at 360 Collins St.
